We strengthen communities by providing neurodivergent young adults with stable housing, life-skills support, and pathways to independent living. When young adults are given structure, dignity, and opportunity, entire communities become more inclusive, resilient, and connected.
Our History
Secure Start began with one clear need: neurodivergent young adults deserve stable, intentional housing options as they navigate adulthood. What started as a parent’s proactive planning for her own child’s future developed into a community vision for accessible transition housing. Seeing the lack of structured housing with built-in support, Secure Start Housing Initiative was created to provide stability, guidance, and independence-focused programming for young adults who need more than a traditional rental but less than full-time care.
